To strengthen the accessibility and inclusivity of key documents and reports, RCO seeks highly skilled 2 Online Volunteers with expertise in accessibility.
Aligned with the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the RCO is committed to embedding disability inclusion across its operations, including public communications, knowledge products, and coordination mechanisms. The RC has a team composed of 7 national staff and 3 international staff, rming the RC Office (RCO), and is based in Ankara.
The selected 2 Online Volunteers will work closely with RCO focal points to support accessibility-focused content development.
Essential:
• Proven expertise in document accessibility, inclusive communications, or digital content creation.
• Strong knowledge of UN accessibility guidelines, WCAG standards, and assistive technology requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or equivalent open-source accessibility tools.
• Ability to identify and rectify accessibility barriers in written materials.
• Familiarity with UN disability inclusion policies (UNDIS, CRPD, SDGs).
Desirable:
• Experience in high-level UN communication and reporting formats.
• Previous engagement in UN or multilateral development communication projects.
